Location Management

Comprehensive location administration for managing facilities, buildings, and work areas in True Tracker.

Overview

Location Management allows administrators to create, modify, and manage locations, organize work areas, and maintain facility structure within True Tracker.

Accessing Location Management

  1. Sign in with administrator privileges
  2. Navigate to ConfigurationLocation

Note: Location Management requires administrator or location management permissions.

Location List Screen

The Location List is your main hub for viewing and managing all locations in your True Tracker system. This screen displays all location records in an organized table format.

Search and Filter Options

Find By Name

  • Use the search box to quickly find locations by typing their name
  • Search results update as you type
  • Case-insensitive search

Sort Options

  • Click the sort dropdown (e.g., "SORT BY CREATED AT : ASC") to change sorting
  • Sort by: Name or Created At
  • Sort type: ASC (ascending) or DESC (descending)
  • Default sorting is by Created At in ascending order

Available Actions

For Each Location:

  • EDIT - Modify location details and settings
  • DELETE - Remove location from the system (use with caution)

Main Actions:

  • ADD LOCATION - Create a new location

How to Use the Location List

  1. View All Locations: The screen automatically displays all locations when you access it
  2. Search for Specific Locations: Type in the "Find By Name" box to locate locations quickly
  3. Sort the List: Click the sort dropdown to organize locations by different criteria
  4. Manage Individual Locations: Use the EDIT or DELETE buttons for each location
  5. Add New Locations: Click the "ADD LOCATION" button to create new locations
  6. Navigate Pages: Use the pagination controls at the bottom if you have many locations

Create Location

The Create Location form allows you to add new locations to your True Tracker system. Click the ADD LOCATION button from the Location List to open this form.

Form Actions

  • Save - Creates the new location
  • Cancel - Returns to Location List without saving

How to Create a Location

  1. Click ADD LOCATION from the Location List screen
  2. Fill in the required field:
    • Enter the location name
  3. Click Save to create the location
  4. You'll return to the Location List and the new location appears in the list

Edit Location

Click the EDIT button next to any location in the list to modify their information. The edit form contains the same fields as the create form.

How to Edit a Location

  1. Find the location in the list
  2. Click the EDIT button
  3. Modify the necessary fields
  4. Click Save to update the location

Delete Location

Click the DELETE button to remove a location from the system.

How to Delete a Location

  1. Find the location in the list
  2. Click the DELETE button
  3. Confirm the deletion in the popup

Warning: Deleting a location is permanent and cannot be undone.
