Mobile App Features

A few of the app's capabilities show up on more than one screen — photos, scanning, maps. This page brings them together in one place.

Photo Attachments

Work orders and assets can carry images taken directly on the device.

Tap the add media button on a detail screen, then choose either:

  • Camera — take one new photo
  • Gallery — pick one or several images already on the device

Selected images join the upload queue and appear as thumbnails. Tap a thumbnail to view the image at full size.

The app asks for camera permission the first time you take a photo. If permission is denied, use Gallery instead, or grant camera permission again from your device settings.

Scan Asset Barcodes and QR Codes

An asset can be opened by scanning its physical label, without typing a serial number.

  1. Open the Assets list
  2. Tap the scan icon in the top right
  3. Point the camera at the barcode or QR label

On an exact match the app opens that asset's detail screen. Otherwise it reports "Asset not found for this barcode".

Labels That Are Recognised

  • Barcode or serial number — the scanned code is matched against both the Barcode and the Serial Number field of an asset
  • QR labels printed from the dashboard — those labels contain a URL, and the app extracts the code from it automatically

Matching is exact. A partially similar code will not open an asset, so you are never taken to the wrong one.

Asset Map

The asset list can be shown as a map, marking every asset that has coordinates. Tap a marker to open that asset's detail screen.

Location Map on Assets

The asset form has a Location Map field for setting the asset's coordinates. Tap the field, then either:

  • Search for an address in the search field, or
  • Tap the point directly on the map

The stored coordinates appear on the form as latitude and longitude, and it is that point which places the asset on the asset map. The app does not track your device's position.

This field is distinct from the Location field on the same form: Location selects an existing location record, while Location Map stores the asset's own coordinates.

Notifications

The app receives push notifications about updates relevant to your account, including while the app is closed. Notification permission is requested on first launch and can be changed at any time in the device settings.

Tablet Layout

On large screens the app uses a two-pane layout — the list on the left, the detail on the right — with a navigation rail along the side. There is no difference in features between the phone and tablet layouts.

Language

The app is available in Indonesian and English. See Language Settings for how to change it.
